Soft, creamy bread is topped with a bit of rich cinnamon-sugar and delicious apples to create a treat so tasty, you'll feel like it's a dream come true. The snoozing will quickly subside when you know Sweet Breakfast Pie is on the menu. It's dessert for breakfast at its finest!

Ingredients
- 1 (16-ounce) loaf challah bread, cut into 1x2-inch cubes
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, divided
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups apples, peeled and cored, sliced
- maple syrup, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 -Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
Step 3 -In a large bowl, add the bread cubes.
Step 4 -In a medium bowl, add the eggs, the heavy cream, and 1/2 teaspoon of the cinnamon and whisk to combine.
Step 5 -Pour the egg mixture over the bread and toss until well-combined.
Step 6 -In a small bowl, add the remaining cinnamon and the sugar and mix to combine.
Step 7 -Add 1 1/2 cups of the apple slices to the bottom of the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with 1/3 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Step 8 -Top the cinnamon-sugar-coated apples with 1/2 of the soaked bread cubes, 1/2 of the remaining apple slices, and 1/2 of the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Step 9 -Add the remaining soaked bread cubes on top of the cinnamon-sugar-coated apples, then top the bread layer with the remaining apple slices and the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Step 10 -Bake the pie, about 50 minutes-1 hour.
Step 11 -Slice and serve the pie drizzled with the maple syrup.
