Ingredients
- 8 soft multi-grain or whole-wheat tortillas
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce, plus more, to taste, for dipping
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 48 slices pepperoni
- cooking spray, to taste
- olive oil, optional, to taste, for brushing
- dried oregano, optional, to taste
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2 -Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
Step 3 -Place 1 of the tortillas on a flat surface.
Step 4 -Spread 1 tablespoon of the pizza sauce over the tortilla.
Step 5 -Sprinkle about 1/8 of the mozzarella cheese on top of the pizza sauce layer.
Step 6 -Place 6 slices of the pepperoni down the center of the tortilla on top of the cheese layer.
Step 7 -Roll the tortilla up tightly and secure it with a toothpick.
Step 8 -Repeat the filling and rolling process with all of the remaining ingredients.
Step 9 -Place the roll-ups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and spray them with the cooking spray.
Step 10 -Bake the roll-ups until they begin to crisp up, become brown, and the cheese begins to melt out of the ends, about 15 minutes.
Step 11 -Let the roll-ups cool for 5 minutes.
Step 12 -Brush the roll-ups with the olive oil and sprinkle them with the dried oregano.
Step 13 -Serve the roll-ups with the extra pizza sauce.
