When a homemade, comforting, and delicious main dish is needed for a busy weeknight, it's sometimes a feat to accomplish. With The Best of Caesar Chicken, you'll have a fantastic dinner done in no time. Juicy chicken breasts are coated with an amazingly creamy Caesar dressing mixture and baked until they are golden and tender. There's just one word for it... yum! Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, pounded 1-inch thickness
- 1 1/2 cups parmesan cheese, grated, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup Caesar dressing, store-bought or homemade
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 -Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 -Coat an 11 1/2x8-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
Step 3 -Sprinkle the chicken breasts with 1 cup of the parmesan cheese and the black pepper and place in the prepared baking dish.
Step 4 -In a small bowl, add the Caesar dressing and the sour cream and whisk to combine.
Step 5 -Pour the dressing mixture over the chicken breasts, then sprinkle with the remaining parmesan cheese.
Step 6 -Bake the chicken breasts until they reach an internal temperature of 150 degrees F, about 30 minutes.
Step 7 -Turn the oven on to the broil setting.
Step 8 -Broil the chicken breasts until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, the juices run clear, and they are golden-brown, about 2-4 minutes.
Step 9 -Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack, cover it loosely with foil, and let the chicken breasts rest, about 5-10 minutes.
Step 10 -Serve the chicken breasts garnished with the parsley.
